We spent a full and very enjoyable day on our grand tour and island visit. We visited all three islands Murano, Burano and Torcello. Each island has their own distinct flavour -- Torcello is almost abandoned, but so quaint and historical; Burano has the beautiful painted houses, so cheerful. The houses are very small and cute but the colours are stunning,... amazing... ! Red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, pink, maroon ...it goes on . All different and very well co-ordinated ,all with lovely white windows.
Murano is actually a cluster of islands connected by bridges. Murano is world-renowned for its glass products since 1291.
